Sunday 9th February 2014 Today I celebrate my 92nd Birthday
I have managed to get through yet one more year, and am indeed fortunate. My eldest daughter Jayne is hosting a birthday lunch today for the family, and 11 will sit down to remember my special day. I am in the midst of having cataracts removed and a new lens fitted, my right eye completed, and the left eye to undergo surgery on the 27th of February. My surgeon says I will not need glasses to watch television or to drive a car, but we have decided that my driving days are at an end. So, I look forward to seeing much more clearly over the coming years, which will be quite wonderful. All in all, I have been blessed to have enjoyed a great life with a great family, and am suitably thankful. Regards, |
