Sir Ian Kershaw, Author

Sir Ian Kershaw, Professor of Modern of History at the University of Sheffield must be the Doyen amongst world writers who cover Hitler, the Nazis and Germany.

He has a number of books on the subject to his credit starting off in 1985 with: The Nazi Dictatorship.

1987 gave us: The Hitler Myth. Image and Reality in the Third Reich.

Stalinism and Natizism was printed in 1997.

It was in 1998 that the first of two mighty volumes on Hitler hit the bookshelves. Hitler 1889-1936. Hubris. Book two, Hitler 1936-1945 Nemesis was born in 2000.

Making Friends With Hitler was published in 2004.

In 2008, Hitler, The Germans, And The Final Solution joined this exclusive group of books.

Now in 2011, Sir Ian’s final word on this fascinating subject has arrived. The End. Hitler’s Germany 1944-1945.
Why Germany continued to fight to the bitter end is explored.
