How many enemy aircraft were shot down by U-Boats in WW2? This is an interesting question, and one I would really have no possibility of answering off the top of my head. I would need to really research it, as any answer I might offer would be but a wild guess.

The actual number accounted by U-Boats.
For me, the answer:

125 aircraft destroyed by U-Boats over WW2, was a complete suprise.

What price did the U-Boats pay in return?
On the other side of this coin:

31 U-Boats were destroyed by Aircraft over WW2.
