William Bligh's epic voyage in an open boat in 1789

I noticed your comment about the lifeboat of the Roger B. Taney. (See "Liberty ship Liberty shipa Roger B Taney torpedoed in the South Atlantic on the 2nd. of July 1943") You should note that William Bligh of the Bounty, sailed from the Friendly Isles to Coupang, a distance of about 3,600 miles in 48 days in 1789.
