Valirus Magnessen originally from Norway and trek across the Andies after sinking April 11, 2010 My Grand Father was in the Merchant Navy, his ship was sunk and he and one other man survived. They ended up walking across the Andes to a small village. My grandfather lost a few toes through frostbite and the other person did not survive. I am trying to find some history on this. His name was Valirus Magnessen. Where is the best place to start?? Can you advise me?
