Tracing My father

Hello... I have just started to trace my British Seaman Father, ..who was seconded to the RAN when WW2 was declared, in Sept 1939, and died here in Victoria in 1981?

I was told to search this site for possible further information, I hope this is not an inconvenience to you, and apologise if it is...
Can you assist me in any way please?

I wont pass on what I do remember unless you email me back for details.... I don't want to be a nuisance to people..
