The ship Bornholm, did she get her name from Island Bornholm in the Baltic Sea?

Amazing what you can find at the Internet. The ship Bornholm - I live on the Island Bornholm in the Baltic Sea and is very curious to hear, from where she got her name. We have a "maritime painter" here, and he might know some more, if I can get more information - I cant' find out how to answer to the
subject or to log in.It seems like some sites are not there anymore.

Thank you for your message, upon looking up your Island on the net, it looks to be a delightful place to live.

I have visited Denmark several times and always enjoyed the experience.

The ship named Bornholm did take some tracking down, if you do contact your Marine painter, and if he can add anything to our knowledge of the ship, I would be grateful to hear about it.
