Dear sir,

I was reading with much interest on your web page,about HMS BOADICEA, I know my father served on this ship, and remember the story of how it was sunk, and that there were only 12 survivors. Is there any way I could find out the names of the 12 men who survived, as I was always under the impression that my father was one of them, I realise this is a long shot, but I have tried for years to get some information on this subject,but without much success unfortunately, I would be very appreciative if you could offer any help or assistance,thank you for time, ........

I have never been able to find a list of those 12 survivors from the sinking of Boadicea but here is a list of those surnames starting with W, no Wood is listed, so its a reasonable assumption your did survive in 1944:
