Here is the end result about the bell from HMAS Pirie 1.
 
There was no photo of the bell attached to this E-mail and I never did get one. I had high hopes of getting that bell and returning it to Australia, but it was not to be.
 
Unfortunately I did not keep Mr. Zehir's E-Mail details, you might have told him about Pirie 11, and made him an offer for the original Pirie 1 bell.
 
Perhaps our Embassy in Turkey might track him down from the local phone book, suggest it would be worth a try.
 
Do we have an RAN Attache appointed there?
