Subject: SS Derflinger

I was reading on your web page some history of the ship SS Derflinger. My father-in-law who passed away 15yrs. ago came from Germany to Canada in 1926 on that ship. We found his name on the passenger list. Where is this ship? Is it in Port Said in Australia? My wife and I are coming there for the world games and if there is anything concerning this ship there we would want to explore and see it.

I am afraid that your geography is somewhat out.

Port Said is located on a narrow strip of land at the entrance to the Suez Canal, and not in Australia.
