Thank you.

Very thoughtful of you to send me the photographs of I-401 surrendering in 1945.

We will add them to my URL: "Japanese Submarine I-401 found off Hawaii" on AHOY.

This Class of submarine were indeed huge, but were never successful in action, an 8 inch gun mounted on the casing of a Submarine was only ever emulated by the French boat Surcouf.
