Photo of a Manila Cemetery or Manus from Mount Hood Disaster?

February 16, 2009

Mr. McKenzie,

Hi my best regards to you. I am a retired US Marine working in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. I was googling for information the other day and found your story on the Mount Hood Disaster.  There is a picture at the bottom on the story labeled Mount Hood Cemetery on Manus. I have seen this photo on other sites labeled at Manila 1946. There were 2 Temporary Cemeteries in Manila but I don't know if this was one of them. Could you tell me how you identified the locaiton of this photograph?

Thank You For Any Assistance
