Headstone of Crawford W Willis Captain of the Hospital Ship Madras 1915-1918 January 05, 2010 Dear Mac While researching the events of WW1 in my town I came across a headstone with info that might be of interest to your correspondent Valerie Turner. ("Fannie Olive Durning, served in WWI as a nurse aboard a hospital ships Loyatly and Madras") She mentioned that her relative had served aboard the Madras hospital ship. in Tayport New Cemetery, Tayport Fife there is the headstone of " In loving memory of Crawford W Willis Captain of the Hospital Ship Madras 1915-1918, died March 11th 1922."
