Harry (Henry) Cansdale who went down with his ship, the SS Empire Gold

Hello Mac,

I came across your website while researching family history. I was trying to find facts for my dad about his Uncle Harry (Henry) Cansdale who went down with his ship, the SS Empire Gold near the end of the war.

He has many fond memories of his uncle, altho he was actually a second cousin. I would very much like to get in touch with Graeme Cansdale as my dad who was away with the Fleet Air Arm during the war, wasn't aware that Harry had children.

If anyone is interested I have a photo of Harry in uniform and a photo of a ship that I assume must be the Empire Gold.
