George Ebenezer KNIGHT was aboard the H.S."ANGLIA" when it was sunk

Dear Mac:

My grandfather George Ebenezer KNIGHT was aboard the H.S."ANGLIA" when it was sunk.

George Ebenezer KNIGHT was born in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and served with the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force, enlisted 3 Nov 1914 in London, Ontario.

Is there any record/list of others aboard this ship and if so do you know where I can locate it?

I would also like to know if I can use the link to your article for my family genealogy notes so future generations can read about my grandfather.

Thank you for a wonderful site.

Patricia,

Thank you for your kind words, AHOY is the combined effort of my tireless Web Master, Terry Kearns, in Atlanta Georgia, who puts meaning into all my scribbled pieces onto our site that is out there for anyone who may chance upon it. Without his expertise and dedication none of it would come to pass.

I have never been able to unearth a crew list for HMHS Anglia, no matter how much I may have tried.

You may certainly use whatever you wish from AHOY Patricia for your family records, I am delighted we have been able to help, if only in a small way.

With kindest regards and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2006.

Mac.

Patricia,

My friend Billy McGee in England has just sent me this message which may be of help to you in yoursearch for more details about HMHS Anglia.

Best wishes,

Dear Mac:

How very kind of you to forward the Crew List, now my search will go on to find the list of patients like my grandfather George Ebenezer KNIGHT if one exists.

I don't know why I have the need to know, I just know I have to find out as much as I can.  I just turned 67 years young and would love to have as much information as possible to give to my great grandson so he can grow up knowing about his family.

I was born in 1938, my father died in 1944 and my mother in 1953 so who at my age then would have thought to ask about family history, not me I was too busy for that kind of "stuff".

Again, my deepest thanks to you and all you hold dear.

Trish

Billy,

As always, my thanks for your able assistance.

All the best for 2006.

Regards,

Mac.
