Father served aboard the USS AUGUSTA when Nimitz was her captain

Mr. Gregory -

I wandered onto your web article about the German raider ATLANTIS, and read that you had served aboard the cruiser HMAS CANBERRA.

I have some images of a Commonwealth heavy cruiser, taken in Shanghai in the mid-1930s by my father, who served aboard the USS AUGUSTA when Nimitz was her captain. I would like very much to identify this cruiser, and I wondered whether you would have the time to help me?

The cruiser in question looks like a member of the KENT class, which I believe included CANBERRA, and may be the SUFFOLK. I can send you an image, or post a link to one, if you would be willing to take a look.
