Father loaded onto the Kota Baru at Seattle in about March 1945

As I recall, my late father loaded onto the Kota Baru at Seattle in about March 1945 and 30+ days later landed in Guam. He was in the US Army Signal Corps attached to the 315th Bomber Wing which was based at Northwest Field on Guam. One of the letters on your website was from a person who wanted information on the Kota Baru for their father. What was the date of this request - recent? (Today is April 26, 2006.) If this is still a timely request, I have a ship's "newspaper" my father saved from his trip. Really! Quite an interesting read. Let me know if I should forward it (a photocopy or scan) to you and/or the other interested party. Paul in California.

Paul,

Thank you for your mail, the request for info about Kota Baru is probably in the last year.

I would be pleased to have a scan of this paper, and we will put it up on AHOY anyway.

Thank you for your interest.

Kindest regards.

Mac.
