Father aboard Queen Mary 1940 - 1941? CAN YOU TELL ME?? WHERE I WOULD FIND A LIST OF NAMES OF CREW OF THIS SHIP GEORGE GARRETT
Here is the Queen Mary page from Long Beech California. I would pose your question to this site, as I think they some details of crew members. Good luck. Sincerely, http://www.queenmary.com/html/factsandhistory.php4
Saw a message on your mail page asking for crew list for the Queen Mary 1940/1941. The lists are held at the National Archive Public Records office in Kew here in the UK in BT380 files. They are held under the ships Official No. A contact of mine tells me the Queen Mary's No. is 164282. Using the TNA/PRO online database I have tried to trace the file No's for these years. The files for 1940/1941 do not appear to of survived I'm afraid. The records are available from 1939 up until 1950, but the two years the person was looking for are not on the database. A lot of records had been destroyed by accident in a fire some years back and they may of been amongst them. Rgds Billy |
