David McLean survived the sinking of the HMS Voltaire Dear Terry Kearns, Several years ago I posted a comment regarding my late uncle David McLean who had managed to survive the sinking of the HMS Voltaire. Recently, I have discovered the attached photograph taken in September 1939 of my uncle showing him in uniform. Perhaps it may be of interest for your archives.
