hello sir my name is Richard Krotec i am from the U.S. and i have a question on the austrian navy we were always
taught in school and every book i read said that the austrian navy defeated the danish navy at helgoland but now there are many web pages saying it was a danish victory why would someone  try to change the history of the danish war i mean i read anthony sokol's imperial and royal austro hungarian navy and he even said the austrian's defeated the danes what is the truth because like i said i heard different things on the web but i guess anyone can make a web page
please let me know which side won this naval victory

There seems little doubt that the Danes defeated the Austrian Navy in 1864.
