Hi,

I just saw on your web site a color photo of the Doolittle Raid take off. I was wondering if you happen to have a high resolution scan of it? I am hosting Lt. Richard E. "Dick" Cole, Co-Pilot of the Doolittle Raid at our aviation museum in March. Our museum is partnered with the University of Texas at Dallas where we have all of General Doolittle's papers. I would really love to have a high quality print of this as I had not seen it before. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My thanks to you down under!

Hello Farris,

I am not able to track down the source of the photo you refer to from Ahoy, I thought it came from either Wikipedia or the US Navy Historical site, both sites have their material in the public domain, but struck out there, their images are all black and white.

I will E-Mail you separately an artist's painting of a similar image in color, it may suffice for your needs.
