Charles (Charlie) Allison who was apparently a young officer on the QE 2 in the early 1970's?

Hello Mac from sunny South Africa,

I am trying to trace for a lady here in Pretoria a Charles (Charlie) Allison who was apparently a young
officer on the QE 2 in the early 1970's.

Can you give me some guidance on how to go about this? Basically to establish whether this information is correct.

Unfortunately your young Officer eludes me.
