Bernard Nowell was lost when Veteran was sunk

Hi Mac,

I contacted you some time ago concerning the Veteran, and you kindly emailed me photos of the ship, including the last photo taken as she left to join convoy RB1.

My Great Uncle, Bernard Nowell, was lost when she was sunk, and you mentioned that there were some pictures of the crew taken during their final leave prior to sailing, when they were staying with local people. Do you have any more information about these pictures?

Hello Simon,

I have passed your message onto Simon Townsend who sent the original message about photos of some of Veteran's crew, and asked him if I may pass on his address to you.

On principle I never give out anyone's address without their OK.
