AB Charles -Taffy - Morgan served in HMS Vidette - 1939-1943, HMS Lawford 1943-44 (Sunk on D-Day +1) and the HMS Philante 1944-45

From your link in the Ship's internet listing, I wonder if you have any information relating to the crew of the Vidette. I have down-loaded the more easily acquired data, but the crew appear to have escaped. My late
father (AB Charles -Taffy - Morgan) served on her during the dates above, mainly out of Gibraltar.

He also served on the HMS Lawford 1943-44 (Sunk on D-Day +1) and the HMS Philante 1944-45 (out of N.Ireland and Scotland), and I would like to be advised of any way you know of to communicate with surviving crew members.

Geoff,

Here is a note about HMS Vidette, suggest you contact Lofty.

HMS Vidette: Seeking all survivors and relatives of crew members of this V&W Escort Destroyer. There is an active Association for you to join. Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Dick Wade or Big Mick Haggerty could they contact Ed (Lofty) Whittaker

Check on your search engine for ship Associations for both HMS Lawford, and HMS Philante.

I do not have any crew details for Vidette.

Best wishes.
